Arash AF10- full details and photos released

Arash AF10The complete details about the new British supercar from Arash Motor Company have just been revealed. These are the latest set of photos of the Arash AF10, which has been on the rumor mill for about two years now.

Powering the AF10 is a seven-liter LS7 V8 engine sourced from American manufacturer GM that is also seen on the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. This engine delivers 550hp at 6,200 rpm and 475 ft-lb of torque at 4,800 rpm. This engine, which redlines at 7,000 rpm, is mated to a 6 speed Graziano GT-ME1 transmission. Carbonfiber is the material used for the body of the Arash AF10 and its panels have a core of aluminum in honeycomb configuration.

Arash said that F1 engineers, who have had plenty of experience using carbonfiber on top of a honeycomb aluminum core, will be making the body. The AF10 is actually built with the race track in mind and so it comes with lightweight aluminum fuel tanks, steel roll cage and front-rear steel subframes.

The vehicle features Michelin Pilot tires that measure 265/35Z in front and 335/30Z in the rear, with AP Racing ventilated ceramic disks with eight-piston hiding right under them. Pricing information has not been announced but it’s believed that the AF10 will have a price tag of £320,000 and will be offered in 17 colors. The start-date of production is not yet known but it’s expected to take place shortly.
