Steps To The Summit - Step 18: Be Consistent

Jamie Clarke and the Expedition Hanesbrands crew are back today with another edition of the Steps to the Summit. This time, the message is about being consistent in working towards your goals and staying focused on reaching that end point. Jaime says that while the actual climb of Everest is a major undertaking, before you can even get to that point, you have to take 150,000 other steps just to be in position to go up the mountain. Consistency in your approach prepares you for the climb itself, but you have to remain unwavering in your focus, and work every day towards achieving your goal, no matter what it might be.

I can attest to this one on a personal level. I've been accused of being a "creature of habit" in that most of my days are consistently the same. I work, I write, I run, and in between I find time for some other fun things. But to achieve the goals I have set for myself, I need to remain consistent, focused on the prize, and continually working towards that point. It has certainly paid off for me, and hopefully it will continue to do so as well.
