Registration Now Open For 2009 Jeep Jamborees!

Earlier today registration opened for all the 2009 Jeep Jamboree events. These popular offroad adventures have been going on for more than 50 years, and have now grown into more than 30 annual outings.

You can find a complete list of the events by clicking here, and you can register for any of the events by clicking here. As of this writing, all of the events are still available, but I've heard that they are already filling up fast. The first event of 2009 is the 5th Texas Spur Spring, scheduled for March 26th through the 28th in Llano sold more than half of it's reservations in the first 40 minutes that registration was open this morning.

I've mentioned in the past that I'm not a big offroad 4x4 guy. I think it looks amazingly fun, I just don't have a lot of experience with it. But lately I've been working closely with the folks at Jeep Jamboree and JPFreek Magazine, and I'm continually impressed with how committed they are to preserving the environment and promoting their offroad adventures. These guys don't want to see the trails abused any more than the rest of us do, and they're committed to going easy on the backcountry environments that we all enjoy exploring. Something we can all agree on and appreciate.
