Rescue in the Grand Tetons

Have you ever wondered what it must be like to take a fall in the mountains, stranded miles from help, and with no way of getting yourself down? If so, this video is probably for you, as it captures those elements and a lot more.

The climbers in the video, Michelle Smith and Stephen Koch, were attempting to make an ascent of the Enclosure Couloir in the Grand Tetons when Michelle slipped and fell while crossing the Valhalla Traverse, shattering her leg. She then needed to be airlifted off the mountain, but remarkably managed to continue filming the entire experience. In the video, Michelle narrates her story, giving us some insights into what happened and what was going through her mind. It's very compelling stuff and definitely worth ten minutes of your time.
