Riding The Spine Update: Crossing The Panama Canal

It's been quite some time since I posted about the Riding The Spine guys. You may recall that they are three adventurous souls who set out to ride their bikes from Alaska all the way down to Tierra del Fuego, at the southern most tip of South America.

They set out two years ago, and have now reached Medellin, Colombia, and are officially in South America. To get there however, they had to paddle their gear, including their bikes, in kayaks across the canal from Panama to Columbia. They captured that little excursion on film and uploaded it to the Internet, where I caught it earlier today on the Wend Blog. Check it out below.

Update: Apparently they weren't crossing the Canal but instead were paddling a remote area of the Panama/Columbia border, near Colon and down the coast of Panama through the San Blas Islands all the way to Turbo, Colombia. Thanks for the clarification. That only makes it even more interesting adventure.
