Top 10 Destinations For 2009
If that article I posted earlier on Morocco didn't get you to already book your travel plans, then perhaps this article will. The Times Online has posted their Top 10 Destinations for 2009, with quite a list of selections for those looking for an adventurous escape next year.
The list is quite good, and varied, with locations all over the world. Each of the selections is accompanied with a description of why you should go, along with a basic plan on what you should do there. Generally there are also some links to travel organziers to help you with your planning and take care of all your needs when you get there.
The far flung places on the list include The Bay of Fires in Tasmania, which is lauded for it's amazing beaches near the town of St. Helen. If you're in the mood for something a bit more active, then trekking in the Basque region between Spain and France is recommended, or for a dash of culture try Yunnan, China with it's wondrous Tiger Leaping Gorge.
2008 is quickly coming to an end. We're nearly half-way through October already, and it's never too early to start planning your 2009 adventures. I know I've already started thinking about mine, and while the ones I have in mind don't make this list, I can't say that this doesn't give me some more places to think about. My passport as sat in the drawer unused for too long, and it's time I've added another stamp to it. And soon!
