More From Summer Outdoor Retailer
Summer Outdoor Retailer came and went over the weekend, with a plethora of gear announcements that I'm sure we'll be hearing about and sifting through for the rest of the year at least. Some interesting highlights from the show include:
The Outside Blog reports on some cool new tents that were on the show floor from Big Agnes and MSR that look like they are going to be great for backpacking. They also have the scoop on a line of cycling gear coming from SmartWool as well.
TrailSpace always does a great job with reporting from the show, and this year was no different, with their blog filling up with some interesting gear news. They've got their own report on the hot tents and a look at the new rain gear technology from Marmot, amongst others.
Finally, the Outdoorzy Blog continues to file reports from the show room floor with a look at "Glam Canoes" as well as a whole lot more.
As usual, there is some great gear on the horizon. Technology continues to evolve and it looks like we can expect, once again, lighter, tougher gear. The question will be at what price of course, but we all know we'll pony up the cash anyway. :)
Update: More news from the show courtesy of Backpacker.com where both the "Daily Dirt" and "Pulse" blogs are reporting on cool stuff from the floor.
