Alpinist.com Gets an Update

Alpinist.com the official website of Alpinist Magazine has recently undergone an upgrade with some nice new features, more information, and a layout that keeps it all organized.

Much of the information you come to expect from Alpinist is still there, like the newswire and their always excellent features. But there also a number of new options to draw your attention too, such as Alpinist TV which has a selection of great climbing videos, and if you thinking blogging is so easy that even a semit-trained monkey can do it (I resemble that remark!), there is the new Readers' Blogs section.

Personally, I've always been a big fan of the articles in the magazine. They are generally extremely well written, offer great insights, and can make you feel like you're on an expedition along with the team. The new site makes it easier to sift through all those back issues to find what you're looking for, with a variety of options for searching including searching by region by clicking on the "Planet Alpine" map.

Alpinsit Magazine and it's companion website have been an amazing resource for climbers and armchair mountaineers alike. These new features, and organzational options look like they'll continue that option, and the site is doing it's best to create a sense of community amongst it's readers and many fans. It's definitely a fresh look and well worth adding to your bookmarks, if it's not already there.
