Adventure Journey Opens Online Community

I've mentioned Adventure Journey a few times over the past month or so, as the once dormant site has risen from the ashes after months of inactivity. It bills itself as the "Extreme Vacationer's Handbook" and has often had a knack for producing high quality articles on Adventure Travel around the World.

Part of their resurrection was to create an online community of like minded adventurers who could share ideas, ask questions, and exchange information. This community has gone "live" over at AJHub.com where you'll find online forums, broken down by regions of the World, blogs, photo albums, and more. When you sign up, you'll be asked to create a profile, and from there you're off and running.

An unnamed "friend" sent me an invite to join the community a few days back, and I finally got off my butt and did so. I've had a little time to poke around the site, and I have to say I really like what I see. If the community continues to grow, and AJ promotes it well, it looks like it could be an excellent resource for adventure travelers all over the World. There already a few discussions taking place, and the blogs have some nice content as well. There are even places to list your favorite and least favorite adventures. After that, upload photos from your last trip, chat up some of the other members, add friends to your list, and fill out your profile with all kinds of great options.

So far, I give AJHub.com a thumbs up. It shows lots of promise, and if the community continues to build, I can see myself spending a lot of time there. Hopefully they'll be getting to work on their "Journeybase" next.
