I saw this article earlier on the BBC News Site. It seems 14 year-old Brit Michael Perham has set a new record as the youngest person to sail across the Atlantic solo. The previous record was set by a 15 year old back in 2003. Michael ended his 3500 mile voyage by sailing into Antigua earlier today.
Congratulations Michael! What an outstanding accomplishment! What's next on your list? Where do you go when you sail solo across the Atlantic at the age of 14? I guess circumnavigation is the next challenge. Word of advice though. Next time, plan your arrival in the Caribbean to coincide with Spring Break.
