The calendar has changed to 2007, the holidays are behind us, and now all we have to look forward to is the post holiday doldrums, and the distant spring. Well, Lonely Planet is here to save the day with their new guide book A Year of Adventure. They call it an "inspirational planning tool to take you all around the world in pursuit of adventure." and that sounds great to me. The book lists over 100 activities in 130 countries around the World, organized by week and month, so you'll always know the best time to take that next big adventure.
I've always been a big fan of the Lonely Planet guides. They contain a lot of nice information, great photos, and useful tips. This book looks like it would be a lot of fun as well, and would make a perfect New Year gift for yourself or your favorite adventurer.
