Everest Update: Spaniards Safe In BC!

MountEverest.net is reporting that the Spanish climbing team that attempted the alpine style climb of Everest, is back in Base Camp, safe and sound. The descent was a trick one, as the slope is dangerous, steep, and has no fixed lines. On top of that, the men were exhausted from their summit bid, and had to contend with high winds and cold temperatures, which are common this time of year on Everest, and throughout the Himalayas. While the team has given up on their attempt this season, no word yet on if they'll try again next year. For now, I'm just glad their off the mountain, safe and sound.
