The Guardian's Top 10 Ultimate Adventures

The Guardian has another excellent travel story today, this time it's their Top 10 Ultimate Adventures, which actually has some really great suggestions for adventurous vacations, although the scope of the travel is limited to Europe itself.

For instance, they recommend mountain biking in Cappadocia, Turkey. For those that don't know, that region of the world has some unique terrain features, with unusual stone formations, cones and pillars, not to mention some interesting ancient structures, including underground cities. Sticking to the active theme, if the mountain bike isn't your thing, how about sea kayaking Iceland? The amazing coastline, with sprawling cliffs and beautiful fjords will leave you breathless in more ways then one. Looking for a more classic European adventure? How about hiking the Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt?

There are seven other great ideas for an adventure as well, with things to do all over Europe. Travelers will hike, ski, bike, and climb their way across he entire continent. Looks like everything you need for an ultimate adventure is available right there in Europe.
